Do you have that lust to see the world, but your finances are holding you back? Well, we all feel the same. There’s just so much to explore out there that the most of us will never get to see. We’ll spend our lives in our own town, only taking time to explore our close surroundings. So why not consider a job that could take you around the world? If you’ve got that lust for adventure, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. Even if it is just exploring the country you’re living in, a new sight is a new sight, and there’s something for you to see everywhere you go. Plus, a lot of them actually pay really well, and will leave you finally feeling fulfilled with your job. If you’re wondering what you can do, here is a list of jobs that will take you around the world.
Cabin crew has always been a bit of a dreamy and more luxurious role, well to outsiders that is. Make no mistake that the life of a cabin crew member isn’t easy. It’s stressful, and there’s a lot of hours involved if you’re on a longhaul flight service. But, the one thing it does give you the ability to do is see the world from both the air, and the ground. We think long haul flights are better. They usually have a stop over for an night or two meaning you can go and see the country you’re in. Each month you’ll be able to spend a night in a country you wouldn’t usually do, so for some people, it’s a dream. You need to make sure you’re a good flier, and that you’re really good with people. You’ll no doubt have some rowdy drunk customers in your time, so the ability to defuse situations is always handy. The pay is good, and you still wouldn’t have to work more than a 12 hour day. If you are up in the air on a long haul flight, you are given time to go down to the cabin crew quarters to rest and get some sleep for a few hours. Plus, you can work in different parts of the bigger planes. You could yourself be upgraded to catering for the first class fliers.
So from up in the air, to firmly down on the ground. Being a HGV driver also gives you the ability to go pretty much wherever you want, so long as you chose the right job. Plus, driving about in a truck isn’t that hard, and it can actually be really therapeutic. Most truck drivers spend days on the road at a time, and have a compartment to sleep in. Some people might not like the idea of being away from home at possibly weeks at a time, but that is why it pays so good. If you get a job in Europe, you could see yourself travelling to all different parts. HGV driver jobs are easy to come by, and different ones pay different salaries. It can be hard work being behind the wheel for hours, but it is somewhat different to the long feeling you feel when you’re behind a car wheel. The drive is much more comfy, and you’re often doing multiple different stops along the way to do drop offs.
Being a freelancer is just fun all round. You’re your own boss, and you can pretty much do what you want and work from wherever you want. That’s what is going to give you the travel element to your job. You don’t have to be in an office at a certain time. Wherever you are in the world is your office now. All you need to be able to do is manage your time really well. Being a successful freelancer really depends upon your reputation. The more people that sing your praises, the more people you will have coming to you for work. Plus, there are many different ways of becoming a freelancer depending on your interests. You could be a photographer, web designer etc. As long as you have your work in on time, there’s no reason why you can’t do that work sipping on a cocktail next to the pool! Plus, you can then keep travelling as you earn money. It’ll be like travelling for leisure as you’re working. If you’re really good at time management, you’ll have plenty of time to do the things a normal tourist would as well.
