If you are constantly working, or feel like you are always working, then you will occasionally need a break. It would be hard for any person in the world to work every single minute of the work day without a small break. Lets be honest, even if you work in an office and for someone else, you take breaks. Everyone does!
I recently read an article that said the average worker is only productive 3 hours a day. I don’t think taking so many breaks where you are wasting 5 hours a day is needed though, that’s just too much!
Small and efficient breaks are good for you though, and they are actually healthy. They can let you recharge, become more motivated, and more. A small break form your work may be exactly what you need to start working again. Read To Stay On Schedule, Take a Break for more information on this subject.
One way that I always like to unwind is by doing random things on my computer. I know, I know, I’m always on my laptop so why would I want to spend any more time on it?
Switching over to a tab on my laptop is easy, and just a 5 minute break can be extremely helpful. So, that’s why I decide to sometimes do little mental breaks on my laptop!
Squeeze in a workout.
I usually like to work out in the middle of the day. It makes for a nice little break, and I always feel more energetic than ever after a good workout.
Sometimes I will ride my bike (I’ve been riding around 30 miles a week, and it feels great!), sometimes I will run outside, sometimes I will take my dogs for a long walk, and so on.
Play games online.
I won’t lie, I am hooked to a few online games that I like to play occasionally. Sometimes you just need to unwind and play casino games online. It can be a great way to have some fun and take a little break.
Spend time on social media.
Sometimes social media can be a total time suck, so you always need to prepare yourself for that. I like to go on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter , and more. It helps me stay connected with everyone as well, and occasionally I come across an interesting article that gives me an idea for my business.
